Armored Warfare: Painful Birth of the BMP-2 -Part 1

On the Armored Warfare lands, SilentStalker just wrote the first of a 2 part article about the birth of the BMP-2.

The BMP-2, a infantry fighting vehicle is the most recent introduction in the game.

Will be short on words as is really worth to read the whole article: http://aw.my.com/us/news/general/painful-birth-bmp-2-part-1

  1. Nice to see some more of SS's work now that he's working with My.com & AW! Looks like the quality of the articles has been kept (if not improved) despite the change. So many popular bloggers I've followed before who got hired by some company to start writing for them (at least from what I've seen) had the quality of their work drop seriously after being paid a salary for their work.
TL;DR: Nice work SS, great work.

    1. Er, yes, I just noticed I typed "nice work" and "great work" together in the TL;DR, sorry :P Which brings me to ask: Rita, is it possible to add an "edit comment" function like the one on FTR (you can't edit it after 5min)?

    2. Also, the continuous having to log into my made-for-replying-here wordpress account and recaptcha's insistence that I type out a random word in order to log in is getting a bit on my nerves...

  2. Doesn't mention an author, and the style is different from SS so I doubt it's him. Still, even though I'm not interestedin AW I do enjoy reading about armour, thanks for linking :)

  3. I play an online tank game, I could care less about the tanks themselves. Especially, post WWII tanks that basically have never been tested in "real" combat.

I am not very excited about AW and it's to bad SS sold out to a sinking ship. AW will be lucky to eclipse WT let alone WOT's and I predict WOWS will be a HUGE success and completely dwarf WT and AW.

  4. I can't sign up for AW Beta because that f***ing captcha won't let me in, continously. I am not the only one with that problem and its well known. No solution so far since 1 month. Solution was promised but untill now... nothing.

  5. Enjoyed the article, will read the next instalment happily enough as it is not a subject I know that much about. Would I have gone looking for it? No, I doubt it. I read it as it was put in front of me, I had a tangential interest and it was an easily digestible size.
Damn you SS, you are encouraging my laziness and educating me at the same time! :-)
